Nepal Visa Application Process and Fees

The Department of Immigration's Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has been assisting travelers arriving in Nepal by issuing visas upon arrival.  You must complete an application and present a copy of your passport in order to receive a visa when you arrive in Nepal by flight.  Although some airlines supply this form on the trip, visa application forms are available in the arrival hall.  For those with electronic passports, there are now visa registration machines in the immigration hall. Simply input your passport, and the system will immediately fill out the visa form.  Alternatively, you can obtain a visa prior to your visit via Nepalese diplomatic missions based in your own nation.

The following nations' citizens are asked to get visas from the Nepali government's local diplomatic posts (consulates or embassies) prior to their arrival:

  1. Nigeria
  2. Ghana
  3. Zimbabwe
  4. Swaziland
  5. Cameroon
  6. Somalia
